about us

My name is Kendrick Harvey. I’ve been making big pieces of wood smaller and nailing them together since 1986. I’ve started making these storage racks because I think it is something that will make people’s lives a little better. This is not some fancy corporate website using formal language or pretending to be more than it is. Here is my product. I think it is a good one.

About Us

I have been a carpenter for 38 years and I love it. I was in “Colonel Chutney’s Bar” when I was 19 years old. I met a guy who was a friend of my sister’s. We talked for a while and he ended up offering me a job. Not having one, I accepted. It turned out he was a framing sub-contractor. Except for a quirk of fate this could have been a story about a plumber. Plumbers are a low breed. “Shit runs down hill and payday is on Friday” is the old adage. Although plumbers make more money than carpenters (there is no justice in the world) I prefer being a carpenter for a variety of reasons. Carpentry requires you to think and be active. It is a challenging and rewarding discipline. Anyway, here I am 38 years later. Thank god I met a carpenter. I can’t imagine sitting at a desk all day.
I always strive to produce a product and service that is better than what the customer had in mind. I also hate being late. If I tell someone I will be somewhere at a specific time I will be there at that time. Failing to show up when you said you would demonstrates to the person you were meeting that you don’t care about their time. I am not a salesman. I don’t try to pressure people into buying something they might not want or need. I don’t like it when people do that to me. The dog is named Porthos. He is my sales department.

Carpenter Brain

Carpenter Brain is the art of balancing creativity with precision. It’s about knowing when to slow down and perfect the details and when to move quickly to keep the project on track. Every great carpenter has a mental map of the finished product before the first piece of wood is cut. This ability to foresee potential issues, interpret plans, and apply the right amount of force means that every nail and measurement is placed with intention and care. It’s a mindset that leads to both efficiency and craftsmanship.
Beyond carpentry, the Carpenter Brain serves as a way to approach challenges in everyday life. With an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and an ability to anticipate what’s needed, this mindset helps turn obstacles into opportunities. Whether it’s solving a tough problem at work or tackling a personal project, the Carpenter Brain ensures success through focus, determination, and the constant pursuit of quality.
